I have to admit, celebrities are rarely people I look to for any kind of personal mantra or gem of wisdom to live by. But as people with life experiences that are rare and do contribute to society, there are often a few diamond in the rough quotes that actually apply to college girls like us, and are worth listening to.
“Once you figure out who you are and what you love about yourself, I think it all kinda falls into place.” Jennifer Aniston
Isn’t the quote a big reason as to why we go to college in the first place? Our twenties are our golden years to emulate this sentiment, to get to know ourselves and our passions.
“People can say whatever they want about me, but at the end of the day I am still going to be me, and I am still going to be living my life.” Megan Fox
Something important that lends perspective on what is really important and what isn’t. While as college girls we might not be under as much public scrutiny as the stars, living life authentically to our own nature and remembering our personal priorities is still eternally true.
“No matter what you gave gone through in your youth, it is about who you choose to be in life. You can define your own destiny. You can be stronger than a very difficult past and overcome it.” Angelina Jolie
College is a place where we leave our childhoods behind, move away from our parents and our youth, and come into our own. No matter what journey you left behind to start fresh in college, always remember that you have the power to choose your own path.
“You make mistakes, but I don’t have any regrets. I’m the kind of person who takes responsibility for it and deals with it. I learn from everything I do. I work very hard, I have so many things going on in my life. Get to know me and see who I am.” Kim Kardashian
Sure, the Kardashians are becoming increasingly polarized in pop culture, no one can argue that they have gone through and overcome their share of mistakes. But don’t we all? To me, this quote says something more than just growing through mistakes – it’s also about forgiving others and not judging them for their past.

I like Jennifer Aniston’s. My personal mantra would probably be “Being fearless isn’t about being 100 percent not fearless. It’s about being terrified and jumping anyways.” I would love to get a shortened version of this as a tattoo on my foot. Maybe “Be Terrified” or “Jump” or “Be terrified and jump”
