tea

Sure, the benefits of drinking tea have been listed anywhere from warding off cancer to easing cold symptoms, but what is the truth about tea? The truth is that research is still uncovering more and more, but read on for a list of for-sure benefits that you can enjoy from drinking your next cup of tea!

Lowers cancer risk. Especially green tea. The EGCG in green tea has been shown to kill cancer-prone cells.

Boosts your immune system. The gamma delta T cells in green tea pack a punch, move over citrus fruit!

Reduces cholesterol. And also helps to stabilize your cholesterol levels if they fluctuate at an unhealthy rate.

Can help you lose weight. If you’re looking to shed a few pounds, tea can help you raise your metabolic rate if you drink two cups a day.

Clears your skin. Drinking tea reduces acne because it contains antibacterial properties that attack acne while it’s forming.

Promotes healthy teeth. Stop your teeth from decaying by drinking green tea, which fights gum disease and plaque buildup.

Prevents allergy symptoms. Or at the very least reduces the effects like coughing and sneezing. Tea blocks the production of immunoglobulin E and histamines, which trigger allergic reactions in the body.
