There comes a time in our lives where we look back and think about things that we could have done. Don’t tell me you’ve never experienced it, because everyone has something that they have regretted. So, how do we live a life that in which we don’t feel as if we are missing out?

Easy, participate in life!

As college students, or for those of you are still in high school, I cannot stress how important it is to be an active participant in your life. DO EVERYTHING! Take a chance on these new experiences. Sure, you may not like them, but what happens if you do? Doing things you won’t normally do helps you learn about yourself and your surroundings. Going to that one gardening meeting might end up becoming one of your deepest passions. It’s better to do things then regret not doing them later. Live your life trying new things, things you haven’t done before. You might end up creating some amazing moments. So here’s a challenge out there for you:

Go join a club. Anything. Something that is out of your comfort zone, something you have never tried before. Go to one meeting and learn something about it. If it sparks an interest for you, then you have found something worthwhile. If not, try something else.

Find an event in your community. All communities have events, whether big or small. Take your friends and go out to events. You’ll not only meet other new people in your community, but you’ll have fun since these events are usually fun. For those of you in college, go to those random bingo nights, movie showings, Mardi Gras dances. It’s really fun! For those of you in high school, go to some of the dance shows, football games, and international culture shows.

There’s always something. All you have to do is find it. Find it and let it change you. Get yourself out there and be inspired by the things you are doing. Try as many things as you can. I promise, you won’t regret it later.

What do you think?

Share your experiences with us. Comment below on your new experiences as they may give others the motivation to try it too!

I absolutely love this blog! I am someone that wants to have very few regrets (but who wants to have a lot of regrets). When I have kids of my own I want to be able to tell them of all the things that I have done. I want to tell them that dreams do come true! :-) I am making a promise to myself that I will travel and I will have the life that I want!

Yes absolutely! I’m trying to save up money so I can travel the world too. I definitely want to make something out of my life, give it some meaning. We have school trips so I’m considering that.
