Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! As one of the “official” holidays of college (the other being Halloween, naturally) I’m sure you all have your own ways of celebrating. If you still need help with some outfit inspirations, check out our post from this time last year. As for your makeup, why not bring a touch of the Irish to your routine today with this cute and easy green and gold eye makeup look?

Step 1:

To start, take an emerald green eye shadow and sweep it over your entire lid. You can build it up to be as subtle or bright as you want, depending on the look you’re going for. If you want it to be really intense, wet your makeup brush first before swiping it in the shadow.

Step 2:

Take a liquid black liner and line your top and bottom lash lines, making the line thicker at the outer corners of your eyes and connecting the lines on the outer edges. Curl your lashes and apply two coats of a volumizing mascara.

Step 3:

Using a gold eye shadow, sweep some colour onto the inner corner of your eye and above the green into your crease. The, using a clean brush, blend the two colour together.

Step 4:

Using a charcoal shadow now, add a bit of shadow to the outer corners of your eyes for a bit of a sexy, smokey effect. Again, blend with a clean brush so the edges of the colours aren’t harsh.

Step 5:

If you want the look to really pop, take a clear lip gloss and gently pat it onto the centre and outer corners of your lid with your ring finger. Dip your brush in some loose glitter (it can be green, gold, multicoloured, whatever you like) and gently tap it onto your lip. The gloss will help it stick and stay in place all day! Clean up any extra glitter by pressing a piece of scotch tape under and around you eye to pick up loose flecks.

Step 6:

To finish the look, apply some false eyelashes–singles or strips, your choice–you can even try some outrageously long, jeweled, or green lashes for a fun party look!

I think we could just use other colors and we’ll still able to rock this look. Just follow the instructions! Love your tip #5!
