It’s a new month, almost a new season, and in that spirit I decided to go for some new beauty products. Read on for my top five favorite beauty products for this month! FYI: not sponsored. Just my humble beauty opinions!

1. Sugar Lip Treatment

Because last month was my birthday I got the Sugar Lip Treatment and the Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment duo as a gift from Sephora, and to my surprise it turned out to be the gift that kept on giving. I am absolutely loving this product because it isn’t sticky, and it gives my lips a soft and fresh feeling that lasts all day. It doesn’t try my lips out over time as chap stick does, nor does it give me a greasy feeling like most lip glosses will. Also, my boyfriend doesn’t mind giving me a kiss when I have it on, so that makes it a boy-approved option! I have only just started using them, so I am eager to see how my lips are looking in a few weeks.

2. Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette

I can’t say enough about this palette. The shadows are highly pigmented, and can all be used to create any look from a “no makeup” makeup look to a sexy smokey eye. It has just about every must-have shade, which also makes it a perfect item for traveling or throwing in your purse if you’re getting ready at a friend’s place. Plus the shadows are really pretty, and have a mix of shimmery and matte.

3. Baby Oil

No, really. Baby Oil is my new thing when it comes to shaving. Instead of my usual shaving cream I lather up with baby oil and it makes all the difference! I have never gotten a closer shave, and it doesn’t dry out my legs afterwards. Baby oil also can preserve razors, so it will keep your blade from getting dull and make it last longer. I didn’t get any accidental cuts, and my legs were super shiny post-shower. I may never go back to shaving cream!

4. Illamasqua Blush: Lover

This is a new blush I am trying out after reading some great reviews on it. It is a peachy pink, and it flatters most skin tones. As a pale girl (of the vampire-variety) I am always on the search for good blushes, and the color pay off for Lover is amazing! A little bit can go a long way, and it’s matte so it won’t make any imperfections stand out or make you look overdone. I used to use the infamous Nars Orgasm blush, but then I started getting sick of the shimmer for those reasons. Illamasqua is just as good, in my opinion, and without the excess shine!

5. Bobbi Brown BB Cream (SPF 35)

The beauty world has been buzzing over BB creams for awhile now, and while I’ve kept my distance until some major reviews came out I waited patiently to dabble in the so-called “all in one.” BB creams are coveted for being a primer, foundation, moisturizer, you name it all in one face product.

Because I have combination skin that can range from oily to dry, and also because I’m very pale, I was waiting for the perfect match. Bobbi Brown BB Cream is great because it has a variety of colors, including extremely light, so it is easy to match your tone. Also, the SPF is great since you won’t have a thicker foundation on. The coverage is about medium, so sometime if I need more coverage I put a little concealer on underneath. It’s a bit pricey compared to some of the other BB cream options like maybelline, but I have found it to be worth every penny thus far.
