In case you were wondering about the sporadic posting as of late, I thought I’d let everyone know that I’ve been blessed with a lovely bout of end-of-summer cold. This consists of, but is not limited to, runny nose, tearing eyes, sore throat, sneezing, coughing, headache, and generally feeling like a frosh at the end of orientation week. In honour of this lovely setback, I decided I would share with you all my favourite sore throat remedy, mostly because this illness is about all I can focus on at the moment. Enjoy!

Sore Throat Remedy

Tools:

  • mug
  • microwave

Ingredients:

  • 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup water

Directions:

  1. Fill the mug up with water and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes on high to heat up.
  2. While the water heats, slice 2-3 slices of lemon.
  3. Squeeze the lemon wedges into the hot water and drop them into the mug.
  4. Add the honey and stir.
  5. Drink to soothe your sore throat!

What Do You Think?

What’s with this summer cold? Any tips for kicking it? Leave a comment and help a girl out, I have a wedding to go to this weekend, not to mention school starts next week!

I’d add a couple of slices of fresh ginger to the tea.
