Eye makeup can be a simple way to take your look from dull to daring, but sometimes we just don’t have time. Here are my tops tips for achieving a great everyday eye makeup look in minutes, so you can feel glam even when you don’t have time to be.
Concealer
First start by disguising any dark circles or puffiness with some creamy concealer. Gently pat it around your eye with your ring finger: your forefinger is too strong, and can pull and stretch the delicate skin around your eyes, causing damage. My personal favourite right now is CoverGirl Simply Ageless with Olay Corrector, it’s creamy so it’s easy to blend, but it stays put all day. I wear it daily underneath my foundation and it really makes a difference in the brightness of my eyes.
Eyelash Curler
If you read my post on transitioning your look from day to night, you’re familiar with my obsession with eyelash curlers. I feel this is one makeup tool that is so simply, yet is largely unpopular. Even if you don’t have time to put any makeup on, an eyelash curler can make you look more awake in just seconds. Gently squeeze the curler around the base of your lashes. For extra lift, open and close the clamp moving up your lashes right to the ends.
Eyeliner
I like to do my eyeliner before my mascara, so that I don’t get mascara all over my fingers as I try to apply the eyeliner. First apply a line across your top lash line, and midway across your bottom lash line. Then, to make the liner really pop, take a small brush and dip it in a powder eye shadow of the same colour. Trace the line created by your eyeliner, and don’t be afraid to smudge it a bit—it looks more natural and sexy.

Mascara
Finding the perfect mascara is an art, so if you’ve found one that works for you, stick with it! If you want thicker, fuller lashes, I recommend CoverGirl Lash Blast Luxe, which has a little bit of shimmer to make your eyes sparkle. If you want a clean, natural look, I absolutely love Clinique High Impact mascara. It goes on smoothly and stays on all day without smudging or flaking.
Highlighter
I believe this is the most important step. Highlighting your eyes can really make the difference between dull and diva. Take a glittery white eye shadow or a creamy highlighter and dab a little bit to the inner corners, brow bones, and middle of the eyelid (right above your iris). Blend it in until it is just noticeable. People will notice the difference; they just won’t be able to pinpoint what it is.

I hope these tips gave you some easy ideas you can use on a busy morning. What are you everyday eye makeup tips? Do you wear eyeliner, mascara, and shadow everyday? Hey, I’ve been getting your blog via RSS feed and really enjoying it a lot. So I guess I should leave a comment to show my appreciation.
Personally, I wear eye makeup every day, but I didn’t start until I got to college. I always felt way too made up, but now I feel under done without it. I never use real eyeliner–I always use a dark eyeshadow that matches whatever I’m wearing. That way it’s not too heavy, and it looks pretty natural because it tends to smudge.
